CARAGH VEITCH PHILIP
Hello! My name's Caragh and I'm currently in my fourth year of studying Performance Costume BA (Hons) at Edinburgh College of Art.
Having spent much of my childhood and early adolescence on stage, my love for theatre, film, fashion and all things costume - from Halloween fancy-dress to monarchical period attire - inspired me to pursue a career in costume design and making. With an eclectic approach, I draw inspiration from various aspects of life for my projects, using both historical and contemporary themes to inform my work.

My design and making practices are informed by wider social and ecological world issues. As a young designer, I endeavour to reduce my impact on the environment as best I can, using recycled and deadstock materials for several projects.
